Coral Gables apartments for rent
1,621 apartments across 8 buildings. Published starting base rents run from $2,455 to $8,200 a month.
Coral Gables is a separate city about 7 miles southwest of downtown Miami, planned by developer George Merrick as a Mediterranean Revival community and home to the University of Miami. Its business district centers on Miracle Mile, and its new rental buildings sit in and around that downtown, in the Crafts District south of Coral Way, and along South Dixie Highway (US-1), where Metrorail runs.
Buildings here tend to be mid-rise and polished, in a city whose original plan mandated Mediterranean Revival architecture. Life Time Living at Gables Station on US-1 includes a Life Time Fitness membership, and The Residences at THesis near the university has direct Metrorail access. Regency Parc is at the luxury end, with valet parking and long leases on its top floors. Avalon Merrick Park, by the Shops at Merrick Park, is listed here although it sits on the City of Miami side of the line.
Coral Gables suits renters who want a quieter city with offices, shops and the university close by, and who are ready to pay more for it. It is also handy for a commute to the University of Miami or to offices along US-1. See Coconut Grove to the east and South Miami to the west, and use What can I afford? to set a budget.
