Liberty City is a neighborhood in northern Miami, roughly bounded by NW 79th Street on the north, with Brownsville next door; historically and in city government it is also known as Model City. It is home to Liberty Square, a public housing project that opened in 1937. Metrorail stops at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza and Brownsville stations along NW 27th Avenue.

The neighborhood runs roughly from NW 27th Avenue east to I-95 and from the Airport Expressway north to NW 79th Street. Besides the stations on NW 27th Avenue, Metrorail's Earlington Heights station, at the Airport Expressway on the southern edge, links to Miami International Airport on the Orange Line, and Metrobus Route 77 runs up NW 7th Avenue, past Audrey Edmonson Transit Village, between Downtown and Norland. Public high schools here include Miami Northwestern and Miami Central. Liberty City is one of Miami's higher-elevation neighborhoods, and its real estate values have been rising as climate change weighs on flood-prone parts of the city; a community land trust is planned to keep housing affordable for current residents.

Liberty City suits households who qualify for affordable or workforce housing, and some of its buildings have playgrounds and community services on site.
